Reinvention

Reinvention is when you take something that is existing already and changing it in a way that it becomes your own piece for example a group of images, if you cut them all up and stick them in different angels and combinations you will create a something new and your own from images that you had taken from someone else.

For our brief we have to reinvent something or create something new either by creating a video clip of images put together or a book.I have chosen on making the book because i have never created one of my own and i feel as though i book will give more feeling to the viewer e.g. seeing the amount of time out in each piece in the book and visual seeing each little detail.

• My first idea and main idea is having portrait images of Virgin Mary. The way i will reinvent the image is that i will ink over your body in a tattoo style e.g. tribal and traditional flash images such as roses, each image will be sized as A5.I will then edit some of the portraits i have inked on photoshop with different filters and effects for example colour.

• My second idea having ten images of victorian women that are showing some flesh e.g. legs, arms. I will then ink there skin with different coloured pens to brighten the black and white images to make it come to life and pop out from the dark background.

• These images will also be in a A5 book

• The third idea will be showcased in a A4 book this is because this idea is based on collage.I decided to go with a ripped paged effect for this idea that will be done with religious god figures from different cultures, i will then ripped pieces from each one of those and sick them together to make a new images of a god or gods together symbolising there is only one god.
